Stainless Steel 446 Round Bars & Wires

These wires / round bars are formed with non-heat treatable ferritic stainless steel alloy in which it includes a high level of chromium content. These wires/ bars offer superior resistance to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperature circumstances. Moreover, it often shows good resistance to sulfidation and other forms of soaring corrosion.
The machinability of SS 446 Round Bars & Wires is achieved at a slow pace with sharp tooling surfaces and optimistic feeds. On the other hand, the forging of wires is begun at 2100 degree F whereas completed at 1600 degree F. The wires /round bars are both hot worked and cold worked.  Therefore the wires sustain superior strength at elevated temperature or as well as sub-zero temperatures. The round bars/ wires offer good mechanical properties when exposed to cold worked.
